Zambujeira do Mar has 800 inhabitants and consists only of low rise buildings. Everything is easy to reach on foot and in the Center there are several cafés, restaurants, terraces and shops.
You will also find a post office, cash machine, pharmacy and a covered market Hall, where daily fresh fish and vegetables is offered. In the summer period is the tourist information centre open.
There are also several small supermarkets for groceries. In the nearby village of São Teotónio there are large supermarkets and other facilities.
