Welcome in our house in Zambujeira do Mar.
Zambujeira do Mar is a small, by origin fishermen’s village, located in the southwestern part of the Alentejo. The village is easily accessible, 1.5-hour drive from Faro Airport and a 2.5-hour drive from Lisbon. The village is built on top of the cliffs on the Atlantic Ocean and has one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. No mass-tourism, such as in the Algarve; Zambujeira do Mar is especially popular with the Portuguese themselves. You will not find here big hotels and noisy bars, but there are plenty of cafés and restaurants to relax and enjoy during dinner the sunset. The village is located in the Southwest National Park, thus there are strict building regulations and the village has preserved its original character and charm. The house is perfect for people who love nature and rest, but who don’t want to sit to isolated and want to have some fun around them. Near Zambujeira do Mar there are many small beaches where you encounter almost no one even in the high season. The House is ideal for day trips to the nearby ancient cities and villages and the beautiful coast and beaches of the Alentejo.
